The 2024–25 season marks FC Porto’s 132nd year of competitive football and their 90th consecutive season in the Primeira Liga. Under head coach Vítor Bruno, Porto competed in several domestic and international tournaments, including the Taça de Portugal, Taça da Liga, Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira, UEFA Europa League, and the FIFA Club World Cup.
Porto finished third in the Primeira Liga, falling short in their bid for the title. They did secure the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira, winning the trophy early in the season. However, their efforts in the Taça de Portugal and Taça da Liga were cut short, with the team eliminated in the fourth round and semi-finals, respectively. Samu Aghehowa was the team’s top scorer, with 11 league goals and 16 in total.
On the international stage, Porto progressed through the UEFA Europa League league phase but failed to make a deep run. In the newly expanded FIFA Club World Cup, Porto was eliminated in the group stage. This season marked the first without veteran defender Pepe, who departed after his contract expired, signaling a new chapter for the club.
