The 2023–24 season was Al Hilal’s 48th consecutive campaign in Saudi Arabia’s top flight and its 66th year as a club. Under Jorge Jesus, the team competed in the Saudi Pro League, King Cup, AFC Champions League, Arab Club Champions Cup, and Saudi Super Cup. The season was historic, as Al Hilal demonstrated dominance both domestically and internationally.
In February, Al Hilal broke the Saudi Pro League record with 14 consecutive victories, surpassing Al-Nassr’s previous record of 13. By April, they set a new global record of 32 straight wins across all competitions, eclipsing Belfast Celtic’s 1948 record. The streak ended at 34 after a 4–2 loss to Al Ain in the Champions League semi-finals. Despite this, Al Hilal completed an unbeaten Pro League campaign, securing the title in dominant fashion and also winning the King Cup and Saudi Super Cup. They finished runners-up in the Arab Club Champions Cup, losing to rivals Al-Nassr.
Aleksandar Mitrović was pivotal, finishing as the team’s top scorer with 28 league goals and 40 in all competitions.
