The 2001–02 season was Arsenal’s 10th in the Premier League and marked their second domestic double. They won the Premier League by 7 points, remaining unbeaten away from home and scoring in every league game. In the FA Cup, they defeated Chelsea 2–0 in the final. Despite domestic success, Arsenal’s UEFA Champions League campaign ended in the second group stage. Thierry Henry finished as both the club’s and league’s top scorer with 32 goals. Manager Arsène Wenger and Freddie Ljungberg earned notable awards for the team’s achievements.
