For the 2024–25 season, AS Roma experienced a tumultuous start with significant managerial changes. The club began the season under the leadership of Daniele De Rossi, but after only three games, he was dismissed. His replacement, Ivan Jurić, managed the team until mid-November, but he too was let go due to poor results, leaving Roma with only 12th place in Serie A and struggling to progress in the Europa League.
In November, the club turned to veteran manager Claudio Ranieri, who agreed to return from retirement to take over as caretaker coach until June 2025. This marks Ranieri’s third stint at the club, a return to his hometown team in an effort to stabilize the squad after a disastrous season so far.
Roma’s current situation has been far from ideal, with the club sitting mid-table in Serie A and facing an uphill battle in their European competition.
