Domestically, Inter finished 3rd in Serie A, securing a strong league position. They triumphed in both the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana, adding two pieces of silverware to their collection. In Europe, Inter had a memorable run to the UEFA Champions League final, their first since 2010, but were narrowly defeated 1–0 by Manchester City.
