The 2002–03 season marked Olympiacos’s 77th year and their 44th consecutive campaign in Greece’s top flight, the Alpha Ethniki. Under newly appointed manager Takis Lemonis, the team played their home matches at the Rizoupoli Stadium.
Olympiacos were crowned league champions, reached the Greek Cup quarter-finals, and competed in the UEFA Champions League group stage for a sixth straight season. Stelios Giannakopoulos was the top league scorer with 15 goals, while Predrag Đorđević led overall with 18.
