The 2015–16 season was a dramatic one for Real Madrid, beginning under Rafael Benítez. After a strong start, his tenure was marred by poor results against top teams and tensions with players, leading to his dismissal in January. Zinedine Zidane took over, guiding the team to an incredible Champions League victory, overcoming Atlético Madrid in a penalty shoot-out in the final. Despite finishing second in La Liga, just one point behind Barcelona, Madrid’s strong comeback and La Undécima title made it a memorable campaign. Cristiano Ronaldo was the top scorer with 51 goals.
