The 1999–00 season saw Aris Thessaloniki enjoy a respectable campaign in the Greek Alpha Ethniki, finishing seventh in the league with 50 points from 34 matches, recording 14 victories, eight draws and 12 defeats. The Thessaloniki side scored 50 goals while conceding 46, demonstrating an entertaining attacking approach throughout the season. Although they were unable to challenge the leading clubs for the title, Aris remained competitive in the upper half of the table, finishing level on points with sixth-placed Iraklis. Their campaign was part of an important period for the club as they continued to establish themselves among Greece’s established top-flight sides following their return to the first division in 1998.
