The 2023–24 season marked Bayern Munich’s 125th year and their 59th consecutive campaign in the Bundesliga. Despite Harry Kane’s exceptional debut season, finishing as the league’s top scorer with 36 goals and 44 in all competitions, Bayern endured a trophyless campaign for the first time since 2011–12.
Their run of eleven consecutive Bundesliga titles came to an end, as Bayer Leverkusen claimed the crown. Bayern finished third in the league. The team also fell short in other competitions, losing the DFL-Supercup final, exiting the DFB-Pokal in the second round, and being eliminated in the Champions League semi-finals.
Under head coach Thomas Tuchel, Bayern’s Allianz Arena remained a fortress with an average attendance of 75,000 across 17 home league matches, though the season’s results left fans yearning for a return to silverware.
