The 2024 season marked the fifth year of Inter Miami CF’s existence and their 21st season in South Florida’s top-flight soccer. Under head coach Gerardo Martino, the team experienced a successful regular season, finishing first in both the Eastern Conference and overall standings in Major League Soccer (MLS). This strong performance ensured their participation in the MLS Cup playoffs, although they were eliminated in the first round. In addition to MLS, Inter Miami competed in the Leagues Cup as defending champions but were eliminated in the Round of 16, and they made their debut in the CONCACAF Champions Cup, reaching the quarterfinals.
The 2024 campaign was also marked by an international preseason tour, where the team played friendly matches across El Salvador, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, and Japan. This global exposure helped prepare the team for the challenges ahead. Another notable change for the club was the renaming of their home stadium from DRV PNK Stadium to Chase Stadium after JPMorgan Chase acquired the naming rights.
Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez were the standout players for the club, both finishing the league season with 20 goals each. Suárez led the team overall with 25 goals across all competitions, solidifying his importance in the team’s attacking play.
