The 2024–25 season marked Liverpool FC’s 133rd year and 63rd straight season in England’s top flight. Under new head coach Arne Slot, who succeeded Jürgen Klopp in May 2024, Liverpool competed in the Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, and UEFA Champions League. This season was the first without Joël Matip and Thiago, both of whom retired. Mohamed Salah had a standout season, setting a record with 45 goal contributions in a 38-game Premier League campaign.
Liverpool clinched the Premier League title with a 5–1 victory over Tottenham on 27 April 2025, securing their first league title since 2019–20 and tying the English record with 20 championships. Salah finished as top scorer with 33 goals across all competitions. They also finished as EFL Cup runners-up and exited early in both the FA Cup and Champions League.
