The 2007–08 season marked Olympique Lyonnais’s 49th in Ligue 1 and their 19th consecutive in the top division. Under manager Alain Perrin, Lyon claimed their seventh consecutive Ligue 1 title, extending their dominance. They won the Trophée des Champions, defeated Paris Saint-Germain in the Coupe de la Ligue quarter-finals, and triumphed in the Coupe de France. In the Champions League, they reached the Round of 16. Karim Benzema was the team’s top scorer with 31 goals in all competitions, including 20 in Ligue 1.
